The Deception of Perception
My graduate thesis used design to promote mindfulness by challenging one’s perception. Visual or optical illusions show us that our minds tend to make assumptions about the world. What you see is often not the truth. Regardless of the source, our own thoughts can pollute our minds making it hard to appreciate the little things, and making it hard to stay positive and live in the moment. These designs can serve to interrupt one’s thought process. It helps provide visual stimulation while forcing someone to be more present. This visual experience is geared towards anyone who needs to reframe their mindset by living more mindfully.
